Born January, 24th 1959 in Deer River, MN to Leona Mae Fairbanks and Alfred Wayne Fairbanks Sr. Passed June 10th, 2023 at home in Ball Club, MN.

Kevin attended Deer River High School where he was active in several sports. Throughout the years, Kevin worked for Leech Lake Gaming as a black jack dealer and trapped spot-tail shiners with his brother Alfred Jr. Kevin took pride in his lawn and cared for the Pow-Wow grounds for the Mii Gwitch Mahnomen Days Traditional Pow-Wow in Ball Club, MN. Kevin was also a fan of Plains Ojibwe Singers and was proud to have sang with them at Mii Gwitch Mahnomen Days.

Kevin was preceded in death by parents Alfred Sr. and Leona "Dolly" Fairbanks; son Matthew Schaaf, brother Larry "Judge" Fairbanks and brother in-law Earnest Bebeau.

Kevin is survived by children Kevin Fairbanks Jr, Leanne Fairbanks, Brian Fairbanks, Rochelle Fairbanks, Kyle (Amanda) Fairbanks, Jenna (Daniel Head) Fairbanks, Eric Fairbanks, Karmen Fairbanks, and Nicole Fairbanks. Siblings Mary Bebeau, Alfred (Kathy) Fairbanks Jr, and Lisa (Simon) Jackson, Special brother Kelly Bowstring. Grandchildren Aubree, Danica, Trey, Jayden, Kaydence, Keenan, Makenzie, Mataya, Macoy, Makai, Makotah, Paxton, Greyson, Mya, Fred IV, Cale, Collin, Caiden, Ariahana, Jeron, Jace, Kai and Halo. Great-great grandchildren Roscelia and Zander. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
