The Museum at Warm Springs Extends Public Closure Through Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, for Installation of a New Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System

(WARM SPRINGS, Ore., Jan. 19, 2024) - The Museum at Warm Springs has extended its public closure through Tuesday, February 13 for the installation of a new Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system. The Museum will reopen to the public on Wednesday, February 14.

"We were originally scheduled to reopen on February 1 but due to some equipment supply chain delays we had to extend the closure date a few weeks," said Museum Executive Director Elizabeth Woody. "Our staff is working during this time so Warm Springs Tribal members who need to purchase ceremonial items from The Museum's Gift Shop during the public closure will still be able to do that."

Major funders of the HVAC system include the U.S. Congress/National Park Service, The Roundhouse Foundation, The Ford Family Foundation, Portland General Electric Foundation, Spirit Mountain Community Fund and Oregon Cultural Trust.

The "30th Annual Warm Springs Tribal Member and Youth Exhibit," currently on view, will be extended through Saturday, March 2, 2024.
