Construction on Highway 89 near Grygla begins July 8

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today, construction on Highway 89 near Grygla begins July 8. The project includes resurfacing Highway 89 between Grygla and the Red Lake Nation boundary. Motorists will detour utilizing Marshall County Road 54 and Highway 1.

In addition to resurfacing, project elements include:

• Culvert replacements

• Sidewalk upgrades in Grygla

The contractor for the $5.2 million project is R.J. Zavoral and Sons, Inc.. The project is expected to be complete in mid-October, weather permitting. For more information as well as a detour map, visit the project website: http://www.mndot.gov/d2/projects/hwy89-grygla.
